This is a full-time, on-site role in Ottawa, working Monday to Friday.
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented SAP Master Planner to manage and optimize production planning and scheduling processes. This role requires expertise in SAP systems to ensure efficient demand planning, capacity management, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have experience in SAP modules such as PP, APO, IBP, or S/4HANA, as well as knowledge of electronic product manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a rolling 3-month Master Production Plan based on demand forecasts, historical data, and new business opportunities.
- Create and manage production schedules in SAP to ensure on-time delivery.
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across the company.
- Oversee Demand Intake and Commit processes to align supply with business needs.
- Drive the monthly revenue budget and facilitate weekly risk meetings.
- Configure and maintain SAP PP/APO/IBP modules for production planning.
- Ensure data accuracy and troubleshoot SAP system issues.
- Collaborate with IT for SAP enhancements and upgrades.
- Analyze demand forecasts and customer orders to determine production needs.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Optimize inventory turnover while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to align production plans with business objectives and operational needs.
- Identify efficiency improvements in planning processes and SAP system usage.
- Implement best practices for production planning and scheduling.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or manufacturing.
- Experience with SAP modules such as PP, APO, IBP, or S/4HANA.
- Knowledge of electronic product manufacturing or supply chain processes is a strong asset.
Skills & Expertise:
- Strong understanding of MRP, capacity planning, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in SAP and planning tools.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
Preferred Certifications (Nice to have):
- SAP Certified Application Associate or Specialist.
- APICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification or equivalent.
