This is a full-time, on-site role in Ottawa, working Monday to Friday.

Position Overview

At Calian GNSS, we’re pioneering resilient GNSS technology to deliver high-performance smart antennas with built-in receivers and configurable software. As we continue to expand our product offerings, we’re looking for a Resilient GNSS Application Engineer to support our customers and act as a technical bridge between engineering and sales.

In this role, you’ll provide technical support to customers, assisting with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting while relaying valuable feedback to the engineering and product development teams. Your work will help ensure customers get the most out of our advanced GNSS solutions.

Responsibilities

Customer Support & Technical Expertise

  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers, providing support on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of GNSS antennas and smart antenna solutions
  • Test resilient software and calibrate antenna hardware
  • Answer customer questions about GNSS system performance, interference mitigation, and feature functionality
  • Work closely with engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and suggest product improvements
  • Guide customers through configuration options to optimize performance
  • Some travel is required for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events to provide technical support and promote product adoption

Business Development & Product Innovation

  • Collaborate with product development teams, attending weekly meetings to discuss new features, development status, and next-generation products
  • Partner with sales and marketing to develop technical materials (e.g., brochures, presentations, videos) that communicate product benefits
  • Support business development by attending industry trade shows and conferences to engage with customers and promote our technology
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, sales, and customers, ensuring seamless communication

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on GNSS experience, including installation and system integration
  • Expertise in GNSS interference mitigation, RF troubleshooting, and hardware diagnostics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with Python scripting and application testing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and internal teams

Education & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, RF Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
