This facility houses inmates with complex health issues such as urgent, acute, chronic care, addiction and mental health issues.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities will include performing physical examinations, reviewing and documenting health records, diagnosing and treating chronic and acute injuries and mental illness. A focus on collaboration with health team leads, specialists and community health providers is key in this role. Your knowledge will contribute to evolving healthcare best practices.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking physicians who can work regular weekday clinics (15 hours in total)<\/p>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Registered for Independent Practice in Family Medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario<\/li>\n<li>Malpractice insurance coverage with CMPA<\/li>\n<li>Physician must be able to provide Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) as per CPSO guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in withdrawal and addictions treatment (methadone\/suboxone)<\/li>\n<li>Experience treating patients from marginalized and diverse populations<\/li>\n<li>Experience treating patients with mental health concerns<\/li>\n<li>Experience providing urgent or acute care<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing chronic and complex care<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing infectious diseases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>You must be able to obtain a Reliability Clearance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-51424","career","type-career","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Primary Care Physician - Calian Careers<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/careers.calian.com\/nl\/careers\/df-primary-care-physician-54539-6\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"nl_NL\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Primary Care Physician - Calian Careers\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Position Overview Calian is currently seeking expressions of interest from physicians to work at a correctional facility in the Kitchener- Waterloo area.
