We are currently seeking a Consultant Psychologist in Windsor to join our growing national team who can provide support to complete in-person assessments at their private office.<\/p>\n<p><!--CareersInnerInfo--><\/p>\n<p>When organizations responsible for public safety&mdash;such as the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)&mdash;are selecting candidates for critical roles, they rely on Calian&rsquo;s trusted network of psychologists to assess psychological suitability and fitness for duty.<\/p>\n<p>Help ensure Canada&rsquo;s frontline agencies are staffed with psychologically resilient, well-assessed professionals.<\/p>\n<p>Why Join Calian&rsquo;s Psychological Services Team?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Flexible, casual contract: Work based on client needs and your availability.<\/li>\n<li>Schedule options include weekdays, evenings, and weekends.<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to join a collaborative, mission-driven team committed to excellence in psychological assessment and public safety.<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing support from our Senior Consulting Psychologist and Chief Psychologist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducts psychological suitability assessments for Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officer candidates and armed personnel to determine readiness to carry a duty firearm and other defensive equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews psychometric test results (MMPI-3, 16PF, MCMI-IV, MAST, DAST), which are administered by Calian&rsquo;s psychological services team, and integrates findings into clinical evaluations.<\/li>\n<li>Performs structured stress interviews as part of a two-stage assessment process.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluates psychological fitness for duty following non-administrative removal of defensive equipment due to mental health concerns, substance use, or exposure to traumatic incidents.<\/li>\n<li>Assesses readiness to resume full operational duties following critical incidents or firearm discharge events.<\/li>\n<li>Provides professional judgment and recommendations regarding suitability to begin or continue in armed law enforcement roles.<\/li>\n<li>Completes standardized assessment reports, and where required, offers feedback to candidates.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with Calian&rsquo;s Senior Consulting Psychologist and Chief Psychologist as necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to conduct interviews a private office space or virtually.<\/li>\n<li>Must be registered psychologist licensed for autonomous practice and in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (mandatory)<\/li>\n<li>Doctorate-level applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience, including formal training in personality assessment or occupational health psychology.<\/li>\n<li>Master&#8217;s-level applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of experience, including formal training in personality assessment or occupational health psychology.<\/li>\n<li>Must have conducted a minimum of 25 psychological assessments for individuals working in law enforcement or military.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to provide a de-identified sample assessment report that clearly demonstrates relevant clinical competencies in suitability or fitness-for-duty evaluations.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated proficiency in psychological personality assessment, including the use of validated psychometric instruments (e.g., MMPI-3, MCMI-IV), and conducting structured or semi-structured clinical interviews.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain a Reliability-level security clearance in accordance with federal government requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Compensation<\/p>\n<p>$225-$300\/hr<\/p>\n<p>Vacancy<\/p>\n<p>We have 1 available position.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-51073","career","type-career","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Consultant Psychologist - Calian Careers<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/careers.calian.com\/nl\/careers\/df-consultant-psychologist-55113-5\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"nl_NL\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Consultant Psychologist - Calian Careers\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Position Overview Calian is proud to support public and private sector clients across Canada with expert psychological assessment services for candidate selection in high-risk roles.
