This includes Safety Analysis, Licensing, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Protection, Decommissioning, Waste management, and cutting-edge Systems Engineering and Robotics.<\/p>\n<h3>Position Overview<\/h3>\n<p>The Analyst plays a key technical role in the performance of projects within the Calian Nuclear team. The Analyst can support technical projects in nuclear safety and licensing.<\/p>\n<h3>Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Perform and support scientific and technical project work for Calian Nuclear customers.<\/li>\n<li>Support the development of high-quality technical reports and documents.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a resource to the Manager in support of developing business opportunities and proposals.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all project deliverables are developed and maintained in accordance with the Calian Nuclear Quality Assurance Program (QAP).<\/li>\n<li>Participate, as part of a project team, in conducting technical analyses.<\/li>\n<li>Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and potential business partners.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and propose methods and approaches to support direction provided by more senior team members.<\/li>\n<li>Take on increasing levels of responsibilities for the performance of project tasks and liaison with the customers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other duties may be assigned depending on organizational requirements.<\/p>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in relevant field with 2+ years of experience<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., REGDOC-2.4.1, REGDOC-2.4.2, REGDOC-2.5.2, REGDOC&#8209;2.4.4, SSG-2, SSG&#8209;25)<\/li>\n<li>Registration as an EIT is an asset<\/li>\n<li>Relevant nuclear safety software (e.g., MCNP, SCALE, ADDAM, Phoenix Architect, GOTHIC, MAAP, MicroShield, MACCS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience in one or more of the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hazard screening and assessment<\/li>\n<li>Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA)<\/li>\n<li>Event Identification and Classification<\/li>\n<li>Deterministic Safety Analysis (DSA)<\/li>\n<li>Safety Report development and updates for utilities<\/li>\n<li>Safety analysis for Class IB facilities<\/li>\n<li>Licence applications for Class IA reactor facilities<\/li>\n<li>Safety Analysis Reports for Type A and B transportation packages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong initiative and ability to work independently.<\/li>\n<li>High attention to detail; follows through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong ability to articulate concepts effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability in technical report writing.<\/li>\n<li>Must be eligible to obtain Government of Canada security clearance.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a hybrid model from one of the following locations: Ottawa, Toronto, or Saskatoon.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Compensation<\/p>\n<p>$70,000-$110,000 per annum.<\/p>\n<p>Vacancy<\/p>\n<p>We have 1 available position.<\/p>\n<p class=\"d-none\">#SF#<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-43257","career","type-career","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Analyst, Nuclear Safety Analysis - Calian Careers<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/careers.calian.com\/nl\/careers\/sf-analyst-nuclear-safety-analysis-2160\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"nl_NL\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Analyst, Nuclear Safety Analysis - Calian Careers\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"This is a unique opportunity to join Calian&rsquo;s Nuclear division that has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years as we continue to power Canada&rsquo;s Nuclear future, supporting projects and customers in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Saskatchewan.
