Position Overview

Calian is seeking Certified Dental Assistants to join the dynamic dental team at CFB Esquimalt in Victoria, BC. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in delivering high-quality care to the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces, directly supporting the operational readiness of the Pacific Fleet for deployments around the globe.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside skilled dentists, dental hygienists, and specialists in a collaborative, close-knit environment. Each Dental Assistant is paired with one dentist, fostering strong working relationships and an efficient, team-based approach to care.

You’ll also gain exposure to a specialty care centre, with opportunities to work alongside Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Periodontists, Prosthodontists, and Advanced General Dentists.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists or other dental clinicians chairside in performing a wide range of dental procedures.
  • Perform dental radiographs.
  • Perform a wide range of dental laboratory procedures.
  • Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments, equipment, and operating area.
  • Maintain dental operating area and monitor consumable supplies.
  • Provide administrative support as required.
  • Other associated tasks relevant to this occupational group.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Level II (Intra-Oral) Dental Assisting program.
  • Must be licensed in Good Standing as a Level II Dental Assistant with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals.
  • Must be proficient in performing intra-oral procedures and providing clinical assistance in all disciplines of dentistry.

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must be eligible and able to obtain and maintain a Reliability level Government Security clearance.

Compensation

$38.00 – $40.00 per hour plus signing bonus!
