If you’re a retired military primary care physician living in Victoria, this may be the position for you! We are looking for a physician with advanced dive medicine for CFB Esquimalt.<\/p>\n
Why Physicians Love Working at CFB Esquimalt<\/p>\n
The Physician – Advanced Dive Medicine specialize in the physical examination, diagnosis, and management of dive medicine. The range of activities may encompass health promotion, prevention of diseases and injuries, diagnosis, occupational health, treatment, rehabilitation, palliative care, and support services.<\/p>\n
The Physician – Advanced Dive Medicine function independently as medical advisors and as health care providers and act as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in the primary care setting such as Care Delivery Units and treatment rooms. Within the Care Delivery Unit, rostered patients are generally assigned to a specified Physician – Advanced Diving Medicine who is ultimately responsible for coordinating and managing the care of their assigned patients. Patients access Physician – Advanced Diving Medicine services through scheduled appointments, walk-ins, and at other times during the day when medically indicated. On occasion, the Physician – Advanced Diving Medicine may be required to conduct evening or weekend clinics and function as the on-call physician.<\/p>\n
