Every summer, cadets from across Canada participate in courses at Cadet Summer Training Centres, where they develop leadership skills, resilience, and personal growth. To support their health and well-being, Calian is recruiting primary care physicians, paramedics, practical nurses, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses to join our team.<\/p>\n

As a valued part of a larger interdisciplinary team, Licensed\/Registered Practical Nurses are needed to run routine medical clinics, responding to urgent and ongoing health concerns. In this role you will conduct assessments, dispense medications, liaise with other health providers, and provide health education and teaching, with a focus on ensuring the ongoing well- being of the campers.<\/p>\n
Education on communicable diseases, responding to first- aid concerns, and supporting mental health needs will be daily aspects of the role.<\/p>\n
These roles are best suited to Licensed\/Registered Practical Nurses looking to do something a little different this summer! You’ll have the opportunity to work with kids at camp, supporting them with homesickness, Poison Ivy exposure and everything in between. We can offer flexible scheduling including full-time, part-time and casual roles, and of course the opportunity to return the following year. Camps typically run for July and August, 6 or 7 days per week.<\/p>\n
