Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.<\/p>\n<p><!--CareersInnerInfo--><\/p>\n<h3>Position Overview<\/h3>\n<p>Calian is seeking a General Dentist to add to our clinical team working at CFB Winnipeg, MB.<\/p>\n<p>Our General Dentists deliver full-scope oral care&mdash;from exams and diagnosis to preventive and therapeutic treatments. Working independently within a collaborative clinic team, they handle everything from routine appointments to urgent walk-ins.<\/p>\n<p>(The clinic hours are 7:30am &ndash; 4pm. Monday &ndash; Friday, no evenings or weekends. Dental services are provided to active military members. No seniors, no children )<\/p>\n<h3>Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Assess the physical condition of the oral-facial complex<\/li>\n<li>Diagnose, treat, and prevent disease, disorder, or dysfunction of the oral-facial complex.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a care plan with the patient and the multi-disciplinary health care team to address patient&rsquo;s oral health care and patient education on oral health hygiene practices, such as flossing and brushing<\/li>\n<li>Provide therapeutic interventions consistent with established diagnosis, such as restorative treatment, minor oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, pharmacological intervention, and lifestyle changes<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative support such as but not limited to updating patient databases, referrals to other clinicians and maintaining patient records and documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A license from the provincial or territorial regulatory organization in the province of practice<\/li>\n<li>Hold a Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation\/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR\/AED) Level C.
