Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.<\/p>\n<p><!--CareersInnerInfo--><\/p>\n<h3>Position Overview<\/h3>\n<p>Calian is seeking Primary Care Physicians to work at the Canadian Forces Health Services Centre Ottawa, located at the Montfort Hospital. Full time and part time hours are available.<\/p>\n<p>Physicians function as an essential member of the health care team in the provision of comprehensive, multidisciplinary, collaborative primary health care services to the Canadian Armed Forces members. These services include primary care, minor trauma care, health promotion, prevention of diseases and injuries, rehabilitation and support services.<\/p>\n<p>Advantages to working in this environment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enjoy a great work\/ life balance with regular working hours from 7:30am- 4pm, Monday-Friday<\/li>\n<li>Generous allotment of time for each patient<\/li>\n<li>No overhead costs or clinic fees<\/li>\n<li>Easy access to onsite support services including pharmacy, laboratory, physiotherapy and mental health<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Assessments of medical fitness for duty, including pre- and post- deployment, Periodic Health Assessment, recruiting medicals, hazardous occupation assessments, and post-illness or injury<\/li>\n<li>Diagnosis and treatment of occupational and environmental injuries and illnesses, including rehabilitation<\/li>\n<li>Establishment of patient Medical Employment Limitations (MEL), approve and recommend sick leave, and assign and recommend changes in medical category in accordance with policies<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance of occupational health records through Electronic Health Record and other health records forms<\/li>\n<li>Provision of comprehensive primary medical care to patients with acute and chronic health conditions including referral to other health care providers when warranted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>License from the provincial professional college in the location of practice<\/li>\n<li>Certification in Family Medicine with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)<\/li>\n<li>Basic Life Support for Health Providers or CPR\/AED Level C Certification<\/li>\n<li>Bilingualism (French and English)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience: Minimum of 1year full time equivalent experience directly providing patient medical care in an ambulatory primary care, occupational medicine, urgent care or emergency medicine setting<\/p>\n<p>Compensation<\/p>\n<p>Based on skills and experience as outlined in the statement of work<\/p>\n<p>Vacancy<\/p>\n<p>We have 2 position available<\/p>\n<p>Calian est fi&egrave;re de poursuivre une relation contractuelle de longue date avec le minist&egrave;re de la D&eacute;fense nationale (MDN) pour fournir des services de soins de sant&eacute; aux Forces arm&eacute;es canadiennes.
