Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.<\/p>\n

Every summer, Cadets attend Cadet Summer Traning Centres in various locations across the country including near Fredericton, NB at CFB Gagetown. These programs require the support of qualified medical professionals to respond to a wide range of healthcare needs from the cadets. Nurse Practitioners are needed to perform physical examinations, diagnosis and manage common health conditions, perform selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, counsel patients on preventive health care and facilitate access to health services and referrals. Education on communicable diseases, responding to first aid concerns, and supporting mental health needs will be daily aspects of the role.<\/p>\n
At Cadet Training Centres (CTC), Nurse Practitioners provide primary health care and first aid. They treat Regular and Reserve Force members, Cadet Instructor Cadre, and Cadets. Duties include:<\/p>\n
