The ideal candidate is either a Registered Social Worker or a Registered Psychotherapist.<\/p>\n<p><!--CareersInnerInfo--><\/p>\n<p>We&rsquo;re seeking a candidate with expertise in trauma-informed care and experience supporting individuals and teams impacted by traumatic events, such as natural disasters, workplace accidents, or violent incidents.<\/p>\n<p>In this role, you will provide immediate crisis intervention and longer-term therapeutic support, helping clients process and recover from traumatic experiences. If you are passionate about helping others through critical moments, this role is for you.<\/p>\n<h3>Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide immediate on-site crisis intervention services to individuals and groups affected by critical incidents (e.g., first responders, workplace teams, and survivors).<\/li>\n<li>Conduct trauma assessments to identify acute and long-term mental health needs following critical events.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver evidence-based trauma therapies such as EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), or Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) to address immediate and ongoing psychological effects.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with emergency management teams, organizations, and first responders to develop tailored interventions and recovery plans.<\/li>\n<li>Offer psychological first aid and guidance to help clients stabilize in the immediate aftermath of traumatic incidents.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for affected individuals, including follow-up services and referrals to additional resources as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Provide group debriefings, psychoeducation, and workshops to organizations and affected communities to build resilience and aid in recovery.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including incident reports, treatment plans, and client progress notes.<\/li>\n<li>Stay updated on best practices in trauma therapy, crisis intervention, and critical incident response.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bilingualism in English and French is required.<\/li>\n<li>Registration and good standing as either a Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist in the province of Ontario.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in trauma therapy, with a focus on critical incidents or crisis intervention.<\/li>\n<li>Specialized training in trauma therapies such as EMDR, CPT, TF-CBT, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), or Psychological First Aid (PFA).<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to respond effectively and calmly in high-stress situations.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication, crisis management, and de-escalation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to collaborate with emergency teams, organizations, and community groups.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to maintaining cultural competence and sensitivity when working with diverse populations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>PSPC Reliability Status is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Compensation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$110-175\/hr<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Vacancy<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We have 1 available position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Aper&ccedil;u du poste<\/p>\n<p>Nous recherchons un th&eacute;rapeute bilingue exp&eacute;riment&eacute; et d&eacute;vou&eacute; pour fournir des services sp&eacute;cialis&eacute;s en sant&eacute; mentale en r&eacute;ponse &agrave; des incidents critiques.
