Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.<\/p>\n<p><!--CareersInnerInfo--><\/p>\n<h3>Position Overview<\/h3>\n<p>Step into a rewarding role where you can make a real difference! Calian Health Services is currently hiring General Dentists on the east coast, including CFB Halifax. A difference from traditional private practice &#8211; this is a unique opportunity rooted in a structured, team-based environment where you&#8217;re supporting the men and women who serve our country.<\/p>\n<p>An opportunity with built in work-life balance &#8211; clinic hours are from Monday to Friday, with scheduled admin time, no managerial or business responsibilities, and a reliable hourly salary &#8211; your entire focus remains entirely on patient care.<\/p>\n<h3>Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide dental examination, diagnosis, intervention, and management of the full spectrum of dental conditions of the oral-facial complex and anatomical structures.<\/li>\n<li>Manage overall \/ general oral health needs, including but not limited to disease prevention and patient education.<\/li>\n<li>Develop care plans with the patient as well as the larger, multi-disciplinary health care team to address patient&rsquo;s oral health care.<\/li>\n<li>Perform therapeutic procedures in fixed and removable prosthodontics, operative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, preventative dentistry, orthodontics, and oro-facial pain management.<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative support, including but not limited to updating patient databases, specialist referrals, and maintenance of patient records.<\/li>\n<li>Other associated tasks relevant to this occupational group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess a Doctoral Degree in Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine from an accredited Canadian or American dental school.<\/li>\n<li>Must be licensed in Good Standing to practice as a General Dentist with the Nova Scotia Dental Association.<\/li>\n<li>Must have (or be able to obtain) CPR Level C \/ AED certification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates must be eligible to obtain (and maintain) a Reliability level Government Security clearance.<\/li>\n<li>Bilingualism (English \/ French) is a strong asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"d-none\">#LI-PL1#<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-50852","career","type-career","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>General Dentist - Calian Careers<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/careers.calian.com\/fr-ca\/careers\/df-general-dentist-55971-2\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"fr_CA\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"General Dentist - Calian Careers\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces.
