Responsibilities
- The standards support designer will perform standards specific support to Material Management Training (MMT) Division and courses in support of MMT
- The standards support designer will administer assessments for marked student assignments in accordance with provided rubrics and within MMT Division courses and courses in support of MMT Division as per their respective Training Plans.
- Conduct Standards briefs at the commencement of MMT courses;
- Provide written and/or verbal feedback following the conclusion of each course’s respective performance checks, highlighting key shortcomings and providing corrective actions;
- Mark Individual performance checks and provide feedback within 1 day of submission of the performance check as per the course schedule.
- The instructors shall use DND computer and information technology systems for the conduct of synchronous activities. Such systems include, but are not limited to, MS Outlook, MS Teams, and conference calls.
- Preparing and maintaining Training Plans (TPs) by: holding the Master Copy; recommending changes; liaising with instructors; and rewriting, amending and updating the information as indicated;
- Reviewing productive hours and instructor calculations submitted by training Squadrons to ensure conformity with current TPs and School Work Instructions;
- Writing multiple choice items and maintain question banks to create Supporting Knowledge Exams (SKE);
- Developing assessment plans for SKEs;
- Generating examinations from assessment plans;
- Generating Performance Checks (PCs) from the Job Based Occupational Specification (JBOS) and Qualification Standard;
- Invigilating SKEs & PCs;
- Correcting and scoring examinations and having examination analysis worksheets completed;
- Analyzing examinations and provide feedback from SKEs/PCs to training staff and trainees;
- Performing statistical and item analyses to determine and/or validate SKEs/PCs;
- Monitoring PCs to confirm standard set in TP is being realistically achieved;
- Generating and maintaining student study manuals; and
- Actioning feedback for continuous improvement of the implementation of training and/or development of ideas for training/learning aids.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the conduct of training and education evaluation (both student and programme evaluation) in a filed related to material management
