Standards Support Designer – Junior (Bilingual)

Position Overview

Calian is seeking a bilingual Junior Standards Support Designer to support the Canadian Forces Training and Development Centre (CFTDC). The selected candidate will join the Military Personnel Command Learning Support Centre and play a key role in supporting courseware development. This position will ensure the functionality and quality of training products, contributing to the overall success of training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with instructors, instructional designers, programmers, and other team members to recommend and implement changes, rewrite, amend, or update training materials as required.
  • Reviewing products to ensure alignment with the applicable Training Plan, storyboards, learning outcomes, and assessment plans.
  • Ensuring that training products comply with the Official Languages Act.
  • Reviewing products to maintain and uphold established product standards.
  • Testing products to confirm they are functioning correctly within the Defence Learning Network (DLN).
  • Analyzing examinations and providing feedback on their validity and relevance.
  • Ensuring accurate reporting of examinations and course completions within the DLN.
  • Implementing feedback to improve the quality of training and the development of training/job aids.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the conduct of training and education evaluation (both student and programme evaluation)
  • Familiarity with the Defence Learning Network (DLN) is an asset.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) is required.

Additional Requirements

  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some of the area and overnight travel may be expected
  • You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
