Position Overview
You will exercise attention to detail and organizational skills to receive, inspect goods and accurately select and prepare components for production. You will fulfill manufacturing floor requirements, pick production orders, and update our electronic inventory management system (SAP) when necessary. You will have the opportunity to assist in material management through troubleshooting material issues and assisting with inventory counts.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently pick work orders required for production
- Update inventory management systems in Excel and SAP
- Maintain and organize the warehouse by ensuring materials are stored appropriately, and moved to point of use as required using a pallet jack
- Ensure parts are securely and appropriately wrapped and transported to production
- Assist in completing inventory and cycle counting and identify and troubleshoot inventory inaccuracies
- Create product labels in SAP, and label incoming inventory with product labels and WHMIS
- Other duties as required within the context of the role
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year warehouse Experience
- Experience in receiving, and/or material handling is an asset
- Experience using pallet jacks and/or certified forklift is an asset
- Experience in SAP is an asset
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- A clear sense of urgency to achieve results. A “can-do”, “let’s make it happen” attitude and a focus on a positive customer experience
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and work process evolution
- Interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Sense of urgency with the ability to respond to rapidly changing priorities in a timely and efficient manner
- Ability to follow documented procedures
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to obtain clearances such a Reliability Status, Controlled Goods and/or Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification
This is a four‑month contract position running from May to August 2026, intended for students who will be returning to school in September.
