Nous sommes à la recherche d’un ingénieur satellite débutant ou d’une ingénieure satellite débutante pour se joindre à notre groupe d’ingénierie satellite. La personne titulaire du poste est responsable de la surveillance des performances et des opérations des satellites clients ainsi que du système de contrôle des satellites. Elle interagit avec les utilisateurs afin de résoudre les problèmes ayant un impact sur les opérations.
Responsabilités
Développer ses connaissances et son expérience grâce à différents programmes de formation incluant la formation en cours d’emploi et la participation aux activités de relève.
Assurer le soutien aux opérations routinières des satellites ainsi qu’à la planification, l’exécution et le suivi des opérations de maintenance et des situations de contingence.
Effectuer en temps réel l’exécution d’opérations de récupération et soutenir la mise en œuvre des activités spéciales ou non nominales tout en validant leur succès ou en identifiant les comportements anormaux.
Surveiller la performance des activités de vol planifiées afin d’évaluer l’état de santé des satellites et tenir à jour la documentation opérationnelle.
Contribuer à l’analyse et au rapport des anomalies satellites ainsi qu’aux conclusions et recommandations techniques et opérationnelles.
Participer aux réunions de coordination liées aux opérations courantes et à la récupération d’anomalies.
Soutenir la communication de l’état des missions auprès des parties prenantes, notamment en ce qui concerne les événements non nominaux et leurs impacts.
Appuyer l’analyse des performances du système de contrôle des satellites et contribuer au maintien des capacités opérationnelles incluant les configurations matérielles et logicielles, les procédures, les bases de données et la documentation.
Maintenir des relations de travail efficaces avec les clients et partenaires externes.
Apporter un soutien au personnel sénior et à la gestion des opérations spatiales ainsi qu’à toute autre demande liée au rôle.
Qualifications
Détenir un diplôme universitaire en génie, idéalement en génie électrique, mécanique ou aérospatial.
Posséder une excellente maîtrise de l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit. La connaissance du français constitue un atout.
Avoir des connaissances dans au moins un des domaines suivants constitue un atout, notamment les systèmes de contrôle, les systèmes radiofréquences, les systèmes de puissance électrique, la mécanique orbitale, les systèmes Linux, les bases de données, les technologies de conteneurisation et de virtualisation ainsi que la programmation.
Être admissible à l’obtention d’une cote de sécurité Secret du gouvernement du Canada ainsi qu’à l’accès aux marchandises contrôlées.
Être admissible à devenir membre de l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
Le titre de spécialiste satellite pourra être attribué aux personnes n’ayant pas encore complété leur accréditation professionnelle auprès de l’OIQ.

Position Overview
We are looking for an Entry Satellite Engineer to join the satellite engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the performance and operations of customer satellites and the Satellite Control System, while working closely with users to resolve operational issues.
Responsibilities
Develop skills and experience through structured training programs including on-the-job and on-call training.
Support routine satellite operations as well as the planning, execution, and reporting of maintenance and contingency activities.
Execute recovery operations in real time and provide operational support for special or contingency satellite activities while confirming successful execution or identifying anomalous behavior.
Monitor scheduled flight activities to assess satellite health and maintain accurate operational logs.
Support the investigation and reporting of satellite anomalies as well as technical and operational analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
Participate in routine operations and anomaly recovery coordination meetings.
Assist in communicating status updates to mission stakeholders, including non-nominal events, recovery actions, and operational impacts.
Support the performance analysis and maintenance of the Satellite Control System including hardware and software configurations, procedures, databases, and documentation.
Maintain effective working relationships with customers and external partners.
Provide support to senior team members, management, and customers as required.
Qualifications
University degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required. French is considered an asset.
Knowledge in one or more of the following areas is considered an asset: control systems, radio frequency systems, electrical power systems, orbital mechanics, Linux operating systems, database management, containerization and virtualization technologies, and programming languages.
Eligibility to obtain a PWGSC Secret security clearance and access to Controlled Goods.
Eligibility to become a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
A Satellite Specialist designation may be applied to individuals who have not yet completed their professional OIQ accreditation.
Additional Requirements
Ability to work in a real-time operational environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
Travel may be required occasionally ( including internationally – US) for customer support
