Position Overview
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the successful execution of defence projects within our Advanced Technologies business. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering projects aligned to budget, scope, and schedule, while collaborating closely with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure program success and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed project plans including work breakdown structures, resource allocations, budgets, schedules, and key milestones
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
- Manage internal and external project teams to meet performance, schedule, and budget expectations
- Lead and support proposals for existing and new customers and oversee subcontract administration as required
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by staying current on industry trends and customer needs
- Maintain critical path schedules and implement corrective actions to stay aligned with deliverables
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all levels to provide clear expectations, recommendations, and status updates while removing barriers to success
- Perform other related duties as required within the scope of the role
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Commerce, or a related field is required
- PMP designation is considered an asset, with the ability to achieve certification within 8 months
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing large, cross-functional projects
- Experience within defence or related technology sectors is considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills, decision-making capability, and ability to navigate ambiguity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated experience with planning, requirements gathering, data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities with creativity and innovation in problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to lead high-performing teams and drive collaboration and results
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to analyze, prioritize, and communicate complex information effectively
- Proactive, independent thinker with sound judgment and a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a requirement to be onsite at the Kanata office three days per week.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret level Security Clearance

Compensation
$85,000 – $115,000 per annum
