À titre de membre clé d’une équipe multidisciplinaire, vous jouerez un rôle essentiel dans la conception et l’optimisation de systèmes RF haute performance pour des applications critiques incluant les communications satellitaires, l’espace lointain, la défense et les systèmes scientifiques.

Responsabilités

Soutenir l’analyse de mission, la définition des exigences systèmes et leur traçabilité tout au long du cycle de vie des projets

Évaluer les besoins des missions et les traduire en exigences de performance pour les systèmes RF et les antennes

Développer et maintenir les budgets de performance, incluant les analyses détaillées de bilans de liaison RF

Valider la conformité aux exigences systèmes lors de la conception, de l’intégration et de la réception finale

Assurer la coordination avec les autres disciplines d’ingénierie, notamment mécanique, contrôle, logiciel et structure

Concevoir, développer et analyser les systèmes RF et les performances des antennes pour des applications de stations terrestres

Réaliser des analyses de sous-systèmes RF et optimiser les géométries d’antennes afin d’atteindre les objectifs de gain, G T, précision de pointage et performance globale

Effectuer des analyses électromagnétiques et des simulations à l’aide d’outils tels que HFSS, CST, TICRA ou équivalents

Évaluer les systèmes existants et proposer des améliorations de performance ou des optimisations de conception

Réviser la documentation technique et les conceptions provenant de fournisseurs ou sous-traitants

Élaborer des plans et procédures d’essais RF et antenne

Réaliser des mesures de performance d’antenne incluant la mise en place, la calibration et l’analyse des données

Utiliser des équipements de test RF tels que analyseurs de réseau, analyseurs de spectre, wattmètres et autres outils spécialisés

Soutenir l’intégration des systèmes ainsi que les essais d’acceptation en usine et sur site et la mise en service

Participer activement au diagnostic et à la résolution de problèmes de performance en phase de déploiement et d’exploitation

Rédiger des rapports techniques, revues de conception et documentation d’ingénierie

Contribuer à la préparation de documents d’exploitation et de maintenance

Offrir un soutien technique aux équipes internes, au personnel terrain et aux clients

Participer aux échanges techniques et aux revues avec les parties prenantes

Se tenir à jour quant aux technologies, normes et pratiques de l’industrie des systèmes RF et des communications satellitaires

Qualifications

Baccalauréat en génie électrique, génie RF, télécommunications ou discipline connexe requis

Maîtrise avec spécialisation en électromagnétisme, micro-ondes, systèmes d’antennes ou communications satellitaires fortement souhaitée

Expérience professionnelle équivalente pertinente sera considérée

Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en ingénierie RF, antennes, communications satellitaires ou systèmes de stations terrestres

Solides connaissances des principes RF, de la théorie des antennes, de l’électromagnétisme, des micro-ondes et des systèmes de communication satellitaire

Expérience en analyse de bilans de liaison et en évaluation de performance des systèmes RF

Expérience pratique avec des équipements de test RF incluant analyseurs de réseau vectoriels, analyseurs de spectre, wattmètres et générateurs de signaux

Maîtrise d’outils de simulation et de conception tels que HFSS, CST, TICRA, GRASP ou équivalents

Excellentes aptitudes analytiques et de résolution de problèmes

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced RF Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced satellite communication ground station systems.

This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about RF systems, antenna performance, and system-level engineering, and who are eager to work across the full project lifecycle from mission analysis and system requirements definition through design, integration, testing, commissioning, deployment, and operational support.

As a key member of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and optimizing high-performance RF systems for mission-critical applications including satellite communications, deep space, defense, and scientific ground systems.

Responsibilities

Support mission analysis, system requirements definition, and requirements traceability throughout the full project lifecycle

Evaluate mission needs and translate them into RF system and antenna performance requirements

Develop and maintain system performance budgets, including detailed RF and communication link budget analyses

Verify compliance with system-level requirements during design, integration, and final acceptance

Support interface definition and coordination between RF systems and other engineering disciplines including mechanical, controls, software, and structural teams

Design, develop, and analyze RF systems and antenna performance for advanced ground station applications

Perform RF subsystem analysis and antenna geometry optimization to meet gain, G/T, pointing accuracy, and overall system performance objectives

Conduct electromagnetic analysis and simulations using HFSS, CST, TICRA, or equivalent platforms

Evaluate existing systems and recommend performance improvements or design enhancements

Review technical documentation, specifications, and designs from subcontractors and suppliers

Develop RF and antenna test plans, procedures, and technical documentation

Conduct antenna performance measurements including test setup, execution, calibration, and data analysis

Utilize RF test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and other diagnostic tools

Support system integration, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and commissioning activities

Participate in troubleshooting and resolving system performance issues during deployment and operations

Prepare technical reports, design reviews, test reports, and engineering documentation

Develop operations and maintenance manuals for deployed systems

Provide technical support to internal teams, field personnel, and external customers

Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and customer-facing engineering support

Stay current with industry developments, standards, and emerging technologies in RF systems and satellite communications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline is required

Master’s degree with specialization in electromagnetics, microwave engineering, antenna systems, or satellite communications is strongly preferred

Equivalent practical industry experience in RF systems, satellite communications, and antenna engineering will be considered in lieu of advanced academic qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in RF engineering, antenna engineering, satellite communications, or ground station systems

Strong knowledge of RF engineering fundamentals, antenna theory, electromagnetic theory, microwave engineering, and satellite communication systems

Experience performing communication link budget analysis and RF system performance evaluations

Hands-on experience with RF test equipment including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and signal generators

Experience with advanced simulation and design tools such as HFSS, CST, TICRA, GRASP, or similar electromagnetic simulation platforms

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Programming experience in Python, Matlab, Java, or similar languages

Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical concepts

Additional Requirements

Experience with large aperture antenna systems and satellite ground stations

Familiarity with LEO, MEO, GEO, and deep space communication systems

Experience supporting installation, commissioning, and field deployment activities

Knowledge of defense, scientific, or mission-critical communication systems

Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in RF system design and antenna performance

Collaborative mindset with strong learning agility and adaptability to new challenges and systems

Hands-on approach with the ability to contribute across design, testing, and integration activities
