Position Overview

We are looking for an HR Data Analytics Specialist to support the evolution of people analytics across the organization by transforming HR data into meaningful insights that drive informed business decisions. This role will support the development of trusted, scalable HR reporting and analytics capabilities through data consolidation, governance, reporting standardization, and dashboard development.

The HR Data Analytics Specialist will work across multiple HR programs and systems to collect, reconcile, analyze, and interpret HR data while supporting reporting consistency, data quality, and compliance standards. This role will partner closely with HR and business stakeholders to improve reporting maturity, support workforce planning discussions, and enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.

This position is part of the People Systems and Data Analytics team and will report directly to the Sr HR Business Analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, collect, consolidate, and analyze HR data and metrics from multiple systems to support organizational reporting and strategic initiatives
  • Build and maintain standardized dashboards, reports, and analytics frameworks that support business and HR decision-making
  • Develop and improve reporting governance, data standards, naming conventions, and reporting structures
  • Conduct audits and validation activities to ensure HR data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
  • Analyze workforce trends, patterns, and anomalies and provide meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Support reporting and analytics related to compensation, employee surveys, performance metrics, attrition, retention, and workforce planning
  • Partner with HR and IT stakeholders on system updates, reporting validation, and data readiness initiatives
  • Present complex HR data in a clear and concise manner using data visualization and storytelling techniques
  • Support the adoption and improvement of self-service reporting and dashboards across the organization
  • Assist in the development of data-driven HR policies, initiatives, and operational improvements
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, protection, and governance standards across multiple jurisdictions

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR data analytics or a related analytical role
  • Experience working with HR systems, databases, and large datasets
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience consolidating and reconciling data from multiple HR and enterprise systems
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and reporting or analytics tools
  • Experience supporting HR programs including compensation cycles, employee surveys, performance metrics, and attrition or retention analysis
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder partnership skills
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and privacy best practices
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
  • AI-first mindset with an innovative and continuous improvement approach
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field

Additional Requirements

  • This is a full-time position based on a 37.5-hour work week
  • The role is open to remote candidates located within Canada, with preference for candidates who can effectively collaborate across multiple time zones
  • Reliability security clearance may be required depending on work location and operational requirements
  • The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a growing and evolving environment while helping establish structure, standards, and reporting processes

Compensation

$70,000 to $72,000 CAD
