Chez InField Scientifique, notre équipe d’ingénieurs et de scientifiques travaille ensemble pour fournir l’expertise et les analyses électromagnétiques (EM) nécessaires à la conception et nécessaires à la conception et soutien en service des navires de la marine. Responsabilités:

  • Exécuter des simulations électromagnétiques computationnelles et des analyses d’antennes et systèmes radars avec l’aide de logiciels à la fine pointe de la technologie;
  • Développer une expertise en systèmes RF à bord des navires;
  • Développer et maintenir des modèles électromagnétiques en 3D de navires et de leurs systèmes RF embarqués;
  • Analyser et évaluer des environnements électromagnétiques;
  • Dépanner et conseiller sur les problèmes IME;
  • Préparer et exécuter des tests et essais à bord des navires;
  • Rédiger et présenter des rapports techniques, et;
  • Interagir avec nos clients.

Qualifications :

  • Diplôme d’études supérieures (maîtrise ou doctorat) ou cinq (5) ans ou plus d’expérience pertinente ;
  • Diplôme en génie électrique, physique ou équivalent
  • Bonne compréhension et appréciation de la théorie de l’électromagnétisme et des antennes ;
  • Capable de travailler dans une petite équipe avec des responsabilités partagées ;
  • Bonnes aptitudes de communication à l’oral et à l’écrit, et
  • Doit satisfaire aux exigences pour être admissible à une autorisation de sécurité canadienne et à un certificat de manutention des marchandises contrôlées.

Position Overview

At InField Scientific, our team of engineers and scientists work together to provide electromagnetic (EM) expertise and analysis to support the design and in-service support of navy ships. We work closely with governments and large multinational companies to analyze, assess and test shipboard electromagnetic environments (EME) focusing on electromagnetic interference (EMI), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), antenna coverage, and the control of RF radiation hazards. We are looking for self-motivated candidates eager to learn and collaborate to tackle complex problems. The majority of our work takes place at our Pointe-Claire office developing computational simulations with occasional opportunities to travel and participate in shipboard tests and trials.

Responsibilities

  • Computational electromagnetic (CEM) simulation and analysis of antenna and radar systems using state-of-the-art CEM software;
  • Developing expertise with shipboard RF systems;
  • Developing and maintaing 3D CEM models of ships and shipboard systems;
  • Processing and evaluating simulation data;
  • Analyzing and assessing electromagnetic environments;
  • Troubleshooting and consulting on EMI issues;
  • Preparing and executing shipboard tests and trials;
  • Preparing and presenting reports, and,
  • Interfacing with our customers.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent;
  • Post Graduate degree (Masters or Ph.D.) or Five (5) years or more of relevant experience;
  • Good understanding and appreciation of electromagnetic and antenna theory;
  • Able to work in a small team with shared responsibilities;
  • Good writing and communication skills, and
  • Must meet the requirements to be eligible for Canadian Security Clearance and Controlled Goods Handling Certification
