Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Sales with a strong background in IT solutions sales and account management, ideally within a VAR, MSP, or OEM environment. This role is responsible for leading a high-performing sales team while managing a personal book of business. The Director of Sales will drive revenue growth, expand the customer base, and ensure customer satisfaction while consistently meeting or exceeding sales and margin targets.
Responsibilities
Drive revenue through a personal book of business and existing customer relationships
Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and OEM partnerships
Engage with customers to understand their business requirements and recommend appropriate IT solutions
Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term customer and partner relationships
Develop and manage customer-specific marketing plans and support company-wide marketing initiatives
Lead, coach, and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve or exceed company goals
Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor sales executives to support market growth
Track, analyze, and communicate key sales performance metrics and KPIs
Maintain a professional image with customers, partners, and technology manufacturers
Perform other duties as required within the scope of the role
Qualifications
Proven track record of success in IT sales with the ability to grow and retain customer accounts
Experience managing and developing a sales team
Strong working knowledge of IT solutions, including:
Data Center
Enterprise Networking
Cybersecurity
Cloud and Managed Services
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure and communicate sales performance
Education or background in networking is considered an asset
Additional Requirements
Ability to obtain or maintain a Government of Canada security clearance
Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation
Compensation
Salary Range: $150,000-$175,000 and includes a commission plan as part of the overall compensation package.
