Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) ingénieur(e) en systèmes de contrôle pour se joindre à notre équipe à Vaudreuil-Dorion. Le ou la titulaire du poste participera à la conception, l’analyse, le développement, la production, la maintenance et l’amélioration des systèmes de contrôle pour des antennes de grande précision utilisées dans les domaines des communications satellitaires, de la radioastronomie, des sciences et de la défense. Ce rôle implique de faire le lien entre les logiciels et les systèmes électromécaniques.

Responsabilités

Développer des logiciels de contrôle en Python dans un environnement Linux

Développer des programmes PLC pour des systèmes d’antennes à haute vitesse et haute précision, incluant des algorithmes de contrôle et de suivi avec des boucles PID

Développer des interfaces HMI basées sur le Web

Développer des outils personnalisés de simulation et de suivi selon les exigences des projets

Configurer, mettre en service et démarrer des entraînements de moteurs servo

Préparer des schémas électriques de panneaux, des manuels d’utilisation et de la documentation de processus

Superviser l’assemblage et les essais des panneaux électriques

Communiquer avec les clients et les collègues lors de la programmation et de la mise en service des systèmes

Former les clients à l’utilisation et au fonctionnement des systèmes

Effectuer des mises en service et des installations sur site

Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes

Qualifications

De 2 à 5 ans d’expérience avec Python, Linux, HTML et Java

Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite

Esprit analytique et capacité à résoudre des problèmes de manière structurée

Connaissance des outils d’IA et de leur utilisation pour améliorer la qualité du code

Bonne compréhension des systèmes électromécaniques incluant les moteurs servo, les variateurs et les encodeurs

Expérience avec des protocoles de communication tels que EtherCAT, Modbus et SNMPv3

Connaissance de Codesys, considérée comme un atout

Capacité à lire et produire des schémas et des diagrammes électriques

Expérience en dépannage et mise au point de systèmes PLC

Diplôme universitaire en génie électrique, génie logiciel, mécatronique, automatisation, génie industriel ou équivalent

Exigences supplémentaires

Position Overview

We are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Vaudreuil-Dorion. The successful candidate will participate in the design, analysis, development, production, maintenance, and upgrades of control systems for large precision antenna systems used in satellite communications, radio astronomy, science, and defense applications. This role bridges software and electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Develop Python-based control software running in a Linux environment

Develop PLC programs for high-speed, high-accuracy antenna systems, including control and tracking algorithms with PID control loops

Develop web-based HMI programs

Develop custom simulation and tracking tools based on project requirements

Configure, commission, and start up servo motor drives

Prepare electrical panel diagrams, user manuals, and process documentation

Oversee the build and testing of electrical panels

Communicate with customers and team members during programming and system commissioning

Assist in training customers on system functionality and usage

Perform on-site commissioning and installation

Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

2 to 5 years of experience with Python, Linux, HTML, and Java

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Organized and logical problem-solving abilities

Knowledge of AI tools and their use in developing more robust code

Understanding of electro-mechanical systems including servo motors, drives, and feedback encoders

Experience with communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Modbus, and SNMPv3

Knowledge of Codesys is considered an asset

Ability to read and produce electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

Experience in PLC troubleshooting and debugging

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent

Additional Requirements

Must be a Canadian citizen (or PR) and able to obtain a security background check
