About Calian
At Calian, we help organizations overcome obstacles, manage risks, and drive progress. Since 1982, we’ve grown from a small consulting firm into a trusted global company across defence, space, health, nuclear energy, public safety, and government.
We create innovative solutions that tackle complex challenges and help organizations and communities stay resilient, informed, and connected. If you’re driven by purpose and energized by solving real-world challenges, we want you on our team.
Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.
Every summer, cadets from across Canada participate in courses at Cadet Summer Training Centres, where they develop leadership skills, resilience, and personal growth. To support their health and well-being, Calian is recruiting primary care physicians, paramedics, practical nurses, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses to join our team.
Position Overview
As a valued part of a larger interdisciplinary team, Registered Nurses run routine medical clinics, responding to urgent and ongoing health concerns. In this role you will conduct assessments, dispense medications, liaise with other health providers, and provide health education and support.
These roles are best suited to nurses looking to do something a little different this summer! You’ll have the opportunity to work with kids and teens (ages 12-18), supporting them with homesickness, Poison Ivy exposure and everything in between. We can offer flexible scheduling including full-time, part-time and casual roles, and of course the opportunity to return the following year. Summer Training sessions typically run from end of June or July to August, 6 or 7 days per week.
