Position Overview

Personal Support Workers are integral to the interdisciplinary medical and mental health team providing healthcare services to marginalized populations and their families in this non-hospital client setting. As a valued member of this team, you will be responsible for providing services to diverse individuals experiencing a wide range of medical and mental health concerns.

This role is well suited to individuals who are interested in making a difference for a vulnerable population, and are capable of working autonomously within their scope of practice.

This position is casual in nature, up to part-time hours, offering you the opportunity to respond to urgent client needs as they arise.

Qualifications

  • Must have certificate or diploma from a recognized PSW program;
  • Have minimum 1 year experience performing the following tasks:
  • Assisting with daily living activities;
  • Monitoring well-being and safety;
  • Providing mobility and social support; and,
  • Observing and reporting changes to medical resources.
  • You must be able to obtain a Government of Canada Security Clearance at the Reliability level
  • You must be able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector police check
