Position Overview

Calian ITCS is currently seeking a Junior/Intermediate QA Automation Tester for a 7 months full time contract opportunity to perform the following duties:

Responsibilities

Test Development:

  • Write and debug code for test automation – frontend as well as backend.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and hold reviews with relevant teams.
  • Ensure alignment with project standards and procedures.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and verify traceability in work products.

Test Execution and Reporting:

  • Execute test plans, both manual and automated, meeting project commitments.
  • Report bugs with recommendations on priority/severity.
  • Quantify and track test coverage to ensure thorough testing.

Continuous Improvement Support:

  • Collaborate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as test automation framework enhancement and CI/CD.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize QA operations for efficiency and scalability.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding testing progress and issues.
  • Provide regular updates on test results and bug status.
  • Facilitate discussions to resolve any testing-related concerns or conflicts.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience in Front End and Back End test automation execution and test development.
  • Experience in Back End/API testing is desirable.
  • Experience using Selenium is good but any experience with Playwright is better.

Compensation

  • $30-40/hour

“Final compensation will be based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and contract conditions.”
