Position Overview
Calian is seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist Level 2 to join our team at the CFB Comox Dental Clinic.
This role offers something rare in healthcare: true work-life balance. The clinic operates Monday to Friday during daytime hours only, meaning no evenings, no weekends, and no on-call shifts.

Responsibilities
- Deliver preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene care including scaling, root planing, polishing, radiographs, and periodontal assessments
- Support dentists during procedures and perform authorized clinical tasks within scope of practice
- Educate patients on oral health, hygiene techniques, and preventative care strategies
- Maintain clinical standards including infection control, equipment maintenance, documentation, and patient records
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada
- Unrestricted dental hygienist license in the province of practice
- Certification in the administration of local anesthetics from a CDAC-accredited institution
Additional Requirements
Candidates must be eligible and able to obtain and maintain a Reliability level Government Security clearance.
Compensation
$68.00 – $70.00 per hour
