Responsabilités
- Assurer l’exécution des activités opérationnelles satellitaires en temps réel incluant les tests de préparation avant passage, les opérations pendant passage et les activités post-passage
- Surveiller la télémétrie afin de détecter toute anomalie ou violation des paramètres opérationnels et appuyer les activités de récupération des anomalies
- Effectuer la lecture et la validation des données télémétriques en orbite
- Maintenir et mettre à jour les bases de données opérationnelles, les procédures automatisées, les scripts et les pages télémétriques
- Contribuer au développement, à la validation et à la correction des procédures opérationnelles
- Produire les rapports opérationnels et assurer le maintien des postes de travail selon les procédures établies
- Collaborer avec les techniciens seniors, les ingénieurs et les parties prenantes autorisées au besoin
Qualifications
- Diplôme d’études postsecondaires, idéalement un D.E.C. en informatique ou dans un domaine connexe
- Connaissance des langages de programmation et des principes de base en codage et débogage
- Une expérience en développement logiciel est requise pour les postes de niveau senior
- Capacité à évoluer dans un environnement technique et opérationnel
- Maîtrise de l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit
Exigences supplémentaires
- Capacité à travailler sur des quarts de jour, de nuit et de fin de semaine
- Admissibilité au Programme des marchandises contrôlées et à l’obtention d’une cote de sécurité secrète
- Connaissance du français, des systèmes RF, des systèmes de contrôle informatisés ou des opérations spatiales constitue un atout
- Sens aigu du détail, autonomie, capacité à travailler sous pression et excellentes aptitudes interpersonnelles

Position Overview
We are looking for Satellite Control Technicians to support telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) operations within a mission-critical satellite operations environment. This role is responsible for real-time satellite operations while also contributing to system and operational database maintenance and development. The position combines operational responsibilities with technical capabilities in programming and software support.
Responsibilities
- Perform real-time satellite operations including pre-pass readiness testing, pass execution, and post-pass activities
- Monitor telemetry to identify anomalies, unexpected satellite states, and limit violations, and support anomaly recovery activities
- Conduct on-orbit telemetry playback and data verification
- Maintain and update operational databases, automated procedures, scripts, and telemetry displays
- Support the development, validation, and improvement of operational procedures
- Generate operational reports and maintain workstations in accordance with established procedures
- Collaborate with Senior Satellite Control Technicians, engineers, and authorized stakeholders as required
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education, preferably a D.E.C. in Computer Science or a related field
- Knowledge of programming languages and basic coding and debugging principles
- Minimum of three years of software development experience for senior-level roles
- Ability to work within a technical and operational environment
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work day, night, and weekend shift schedules
- Eligibility for Controlled Goods Program requirements and Secret-level security clearance
- French language skills and experience with RF systems, computer-based control systems, or space operations environments are considered assets
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, autonomy, and strong communication skills
