Position Overview
The QA Technician – Outbound Quality is responsible for ensuring that all products leaving Calian GNSS meet required quality standards and customer specifications. This role exists to conduct final inspections, manage certificates and product labels, perform quality testing, and contribute to ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance. The position works closely with production, engineering, and operations to verify product conformance, resolve shopfloor quality issues, and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Performs final inspections and special product inspections on outbound products to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Prepares and manages daily product certificates and associated documentation.
- Oversees product labels management, ensuring traceability and accuracy.
- Conducts internal quality tests to verify performance and compliance of finished goods.
- Supports corrective action implementation and assists in resolving outbound product issues.
- Participates in ISO 9001 and AS9100 internal audits, documenting results and supporting continuous improvement.
- Provides shopfloor support for outbound-related quality issues, working with production and engineering teams.
- Maintains measurement equipment calibration records to support inspection accuracy.
- Executes ICQ 8 process audits and contributes to risk management activities for changes and new processes.
- Supports lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects that impact outbound quality.
- Maintains ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) employee test logs and ensures compliance with ESD controls.
Qualifications
- College diploma or technical degree in Quality, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in outbound/supplier quality or electronics manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Hands-on experience with final inspections, product certification, and labeling management.
- Familiarity with quality testing methods and calibration practices.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with production and engineering teams.
- Nice to have: SAP/ERP knowledge, Lean Six Sigma training, RF/electronics inspection experience

$56,000 – $60,000
